RepairMe website
Website privacy notice
Last updated 14 August 2026. This notice explains how RepairMe handles information collected through the public website's early-interest form.
What we collect
If early registration is enabled, we collect your first name, email address, whether you are interested as a customer or service provider, the version of this notice you accepted, and the times at which you register or confirm. We do not ask for a repair address, location, phone number, trade credentials, or account password in this form.
Why we use it
We use this information only to confirm that the email address belongs to you and, after that confirmation, to contact you about the RepairMe path you selected. Registering interest does not create an account, reserve a service, or promise availability in your area.
Confirmation, choices and retention
We send one confirmation email. We only treat your early-interest registration as confirmed after you explicitly confirm on the RepairMe website. Pending registrations expire after 14 days. Confirmed and unsubscribe records are retained for up to 24 months so we can honour your choice and maintain a minimal audit record. We will provide an unsubscribe option before sending any early-access updates.
Service providers
Registering interest as a service provider is not an application, vetting process, or acceptance into a RepairMe network. We will ask for any additional information only when a separate, clear application process is available.
Where information is stored
Early-interest records are stored in RepairMe's encrypted cloud infrastructure. Confirmation email is sent using Amazon Simple Email Service. Human replies may be received by RepairMe's mailbox provider. We do not sell this information or add advertising or analytics trackers to the confirmation email.
Your privacy choices
You can ask about, correct, or request deletion of your early-interest information by emailing privacy@repairme.co.za. You can contact hello@repairme.co.za for general website questions.
Before launch
This notice is the implementation draft for the first public early-interest flow. RepairMe will obtain appropriate South African privacy and consumer-law review before enabling public data collection or sending early-access updates.
